The Dexon Clean Air Handling System uses a fully variable blower and pumps, and a hydronic coil to provide a continuous gentle airflow throughout your home maintaining a constant even temperature. Depending on the package and options chosen, the Dexon Clean Air Handling System will provide:

• Heating – using various heat sources such as Geothermal System, highly efficient Condensing Boilers, Solar, etc.
• Power Cooling with Geothermal System or Power Chiller. A single combination (heating/cooling) combo coil is used for both the cooling and the heating.
• Power Cooling with Conventional Air Conditioner. An A-Frame coil can be attached to the Supply Air using a Vertical Configuration, or a Coil Module and DX Coil can be added to the Air Handle using a Horizontal Configuration.
• Fully variable blower that automatically proportionately adjusts speed to meet the varying needs of heating, cooling and air quality control.
• Fully variable speed pump that automatically proportionately adjusts speed to meet demands.
• Built-in Exhaust interlock for range hoods, Jen Air, etc.
• Monitored and automatically controlled Return Air and Outside Air Intake dampers for econo cooling and/or air quality control.
• Econo cooling - Automatic damper control to utilize cooler outdoor air for cooling.
• Air quality monitoring and automatic damper control to maintain optimum air quality.
• Various Filtration Options – UV/Photocatilytic, HEPA up to 99.997% @ 0.12 micron or activated carbon
• Temperature Differential Zone Control – uses a full port zone duct splitter to further maintain even temperature in different locations in your home, for example the top floor versus the main, or North side versus South.

System Overview

The main components of the Dexon Clean Air Handling System are the Control Centre and the Air-Handler.

The Control Centre interfaces with the various heating and cooling sources, pumps, temperature sensors and monitors to efficiently maintain the pre-set parameters of the system. Depending on the options chosen the system can be fully automatic or can allow for some owner intervention.

The Air Handler provides the fully variable airflow, the coils for heating and cooling and the various air filtration options.

• It is modular in design so that it can easily fit through regular doors and consists of a minimum of 4 modules.
  • Module 1 which can be used for either the Return Air or Outside Air Intake depending on installation requires.
  • Module 2 can also be used for either the Return Air or Outside Air Intake
  • Module 3 houses the blower and controls
  • Module 4 houses the coil and provisions for optional filtration.
• Is dual skinned and fully insulated to prevent thermal bridging with no foil back insulation in the air stream.
• All modules are powder-coated wrinkle black inside and out to prevent off gassing with attractive Stainless Steel Hoods.
• Gasket between modules, as well as tight fitting filters, ensures that the maximum amount of air passes through air filters rather than around them.
• Controlled Return Air and Outside Air Intake dampers can provide up to 100% outside air in that would also pass through the various filter options.
• Both Return air and Outside Air Intake modules are equipped with special prefilters, made of patented blend of activated carbons on a GM6.0, Merv 7 particulate media.

Packages

The Dexon Clean Air Handling System is available in 5 Package Options, 6 Option Features and 2 Air-Handler sizes.

Package A – With GEO, With Qualtrol controller
This package uses a Geothermal Heat Pump as a Heating and Power Cooling source. The Dexon Qualtrol controller and Air Quality Monitors automate the return air and outside air intake dampers for air quality control, Econo Cool Feature and Exhaust Interlock.

Package B – With GEO, Without Qualtrol Controller
This package uses Geothermal Heat Pump as a heating and Power Cooling source. Has return air and outside air intake damper control for Econo Cool Feature and Exhaust Interlock but no air quality monitoring.

Package C - 1 to C - 4 – Without GEO, With Qualtrol Controller
This package uses alternate heating sources such as boilers, or solar etc. for heating and the following cooling options.

• C-1 Power Chiller Cooling
• C-2 Conventional Air conditioning with Evaporating DX Coil
• C-3 Conventional Air conditioning with A-Frame Coil
• C-4 No Power Cooling

Dexon Qualtrol controller and Air Quality Monitors automate the return air and outside air intake dampers for air quality control, Econo Cool Feature and Exhaust Interlock.

Package D-1 TO D- 4 – Without GEO, Without Qualtrol Controller
This package uses alternate heat sources such as boilers, or solar etc. for heating and the following cooling options.

• D-1 Power Chiller Cooling
• D-2 Conventional Air conditioning with Evaporating DX Coil
• D-3 Conventional Air conditioning with A-Frame Coil
• D-4 No Power Cooling

Package E – Basic Unit
This package uses alternate heat sources such as boilers, or solar etc and no power cooling option. The outside air intake damper is manually operated and the return air damper is automated for exhaust interlock.

Optional Features

Temperature Differential Zone Control – An option that uses the Dexon T-Diff Controller to adjust a Dexon Full Port Zone Duct Splitter that will direct more or less conditioned air to different areas of your home (North/South, Upstairs/Downstairs etc.), based on demand.

GEO Buffer Tank Loop Pump on Demand – An energy saving device that will turn the GEO Buffer Tank Loop Pump - PM2 on or off based on demand when there are no load demands on the loop.

GEO Open Well Loop Water Flow Verification (WLWFV) - Verifies that there is adequate water flow from the well before the compressor starts, thus preventing freeze-up of the GEO system coil.

HEPA Air Filtration - Filters particulates from the supply air flow at efficiency from 99.95% @ 0.3 micron to 99.995% @ 0.12 micron.

UV/Photocatalytic Air Filtration – Will reduce the levels of bacteria, viruses, molds, smoke and VOC’s in your home.

Carbon Filtration – Adsorbs odours using activated carbon.

Sizes

The Air Handler is available in 2 sizes, each can be mounted vertically or horizontally, and each can have a low-pressure blower or high-pressure blower. Model numbers are as follows.

Larger unit: – 76.5 x 65.5 CM
Smaller unit: – 61.5 x 52.0 CM
